Highway Engineer

We’re partnered with a growing transport & infrastructure consultancy in Manchester who are expanding their design team. They’re looking for a Highway Engineer who wants real responsibility, hands-on design work, and fast progression in a small, high-performing environment.

This is ideal for someone with early–mid experience who wants to step up, own their work, and be mentored by experienced Senior Engineers.

The role
  • Producing detailed highway design and drawings
  • Working independently on design tasks + managing small work packages
  • Supporting S278 / S38 schemes for private development projects
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders and contributing to project delivery
  • Ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with DMRB / MfS
  • Supporting and guiding junior team members
What we’re looking for
  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in highways / transport design
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of DMRB & Manual for Streets
  • Civil 3D experience (ideal but not essential)
  • Strong communicator with a proactive approach
