Overview
This exciting development opportunity is for an experienced speech & language therapist to take on the autism clinical lead role, leading our newly developed autism pathway. You will work closely with the Service Lead and Service Manager to continue developing the autism pathway and provide clinical support to staff on the pathway.
You will carry a caseload of complex children with social interaction differences and/or autism, with one day per week of protected non-clinical time for leadership duties.
The SLT service supports a range of speech, language & communication and/or dysphagia needs, across community and specialist settings for children and young people with developmental conditions/delay. SLTs provide individual assessment, individual & group therapy, management, training, advice and liaison through consultative & coaching approaches. They work as part of a broader multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, accessible, person- and family-centred services through tailored care packages, training and mentoring in the most appropriate setting.
Nottingham Children’s Speech & Language Therapy service is a supportive, friendly place to work and offers excellent CPD opportunities.
