Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join their Surgery, oncology, and critical care team at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The successful candidate will provide specialist treatment to patients, including complex cases, and lead the therapy team. This fixed-term position offers a salary of £47,810 to £54,710 per annum for part-time work. Candidates should hold an Occupational Therapy Degree and demonstrate clinical leadership experience.

Job Summary

We have an opportunity to work as a Band 7 Occupational Therapist within our Surgery, oncology and critical Care team at RSH. The post covers our General Surgical wards, Gastroenterology ward and our Oncology ward at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

The Therapy team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy support workers including band 4s.

Main Duties

The post holder will provide specialist Occupational Therapy treatment to patients within our Surgical and Gastroenterology Wards and this may include complex patients such as amputees. The post holder may also work clinically on the Oncology ward, holding a complex caseload which may include Fast track patients and those with malignant spinal cord compression.

As Clinical Lead the post holder will be responsible for clinical leadership and support to the team in the form of appraisal and supervision. They will also act as an expert resource to the wider Therapy Team.
