Job summary

Job description
Highly Specialised Neuro Rehabilitation Physiotherapist

To undertake highly specialist clinical physiotherapyassessments and treatments appropriate to Band 7 gradeincluding work requiring particular expertise or ability.

To be responsible for the delivery of neuro out patient serviceand ensure the

management of patients along the pathways is efficient and clinically effective.

Main duties of the job

To work with the Team Lead to continually review, develop and refine pathways of care, facilitating the delivery of a robust, innovative and expert rehabilitation service.

To take the lead in supervision, education and appraisals of B6 and B5 physiotherapists, Physiotherapist Assistants and students.

To fully integrate within the wider network of therapy services, working in collaboration with other Clinical Leads to ensure there is consistency and assurance across the services within East Sussex.

Striving to improve all aspects of evidenced based practice and quality assurance, working with the wider MDT including but not limited to JCR, MSK, ESHT inpatients, Neurologists, MS and PD Specialist Nurses, MND Co-ordinators, Hospice Teams and Chaseley Trust through joint working, forums and audits.

To support the Physiotherapy Professional Leads with the development of professional standards associated with Physiotherapy.

  • Good keyboard and IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
