A local education authority is seeking a motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils. This role involves delivering planned lessons, managing behavior, and supporting all pupils effectively. We are looking to appoint a highly effective and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with pupils across the school in Key Stage 2.
This role will complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for providing short-term cover for whole classes and supervision for classes of pupils in the absence of the teacher, including the delivery of planned lessons and learning activities to support the progress of pupils during PPA.
The successful candidate will be able to motivate and inspire pupils. They will have the ability to work calmly under pressure and to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances/situations. Together with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, they will apply behaviour management policies and strategies which contribute to a purposeful learning environment.
Other responsibilities include assisting in the promotion of high standards of behaviour and conduct within the school and to provide support for colleagues through the enactment of school policy and procedures. Supporting colleagues as directed in all aspects of learning, personal development, and emotional literacy both within classrooms and in other defined learning environments.
