Job description
Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Pay: 100-115 per day
Full-time / Term Time only
Dagenham, North London

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the curriculum, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover whole classes such as English and Maths to GCSE students in the absence of the teacher.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned learning activities to individuals and small groups.
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their potential.
  • Lead and manage classroom activities in the teacher's absence, experience in Secondary Schools.
  • Assist in the assessment and recording of pupil progress.
  • Contribute to the development of educational resources.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Requirements
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS in date and on the update service.
