Job summary

A leading vehicle maintenance company in Bath is seeking an HGV Technician to ensure the servicing, repair, and maintenance of public service vehicles. The successful candidate will work on engines, brakes, and electrical systems while adhering to DVSA standards. Key qualifications include NVQ level 3 in HGV/PSV Maintenance and strong problem-solving skills. This role offers competitive hourly rates and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern CAN bus electrical systems and OEM diagnostic systems.
• Full UK Driving licence is required.
• PCV Licence is desirable, training provided if absent.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing, repair, and maintenance of the PSV fleet to DVSA standards.
• Perform repairs on bus engines, brakes, electrical systems, and air-conditioning.
• Use diagnostic tools to assess engine performance and other vital components.

Skills

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, Time Served or equivalent qualifications in HGV / PSV Maintenance
