Overview

HGV Technician - Night Shift

Salary: £51,223 per annum

Shifts: 4 on / 4 off, 6:00pm - 6:00am

Location: Trafford Park

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties, including:

• Maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles and trailers.
• Fault diagnosis, testing, and implementing permanent repairs.
• Completing all necessary paperwork relating to warranty, contract, and retail work.
• Conducting preventative maintenance to reduce unnecessary customer costs.
• Undertaking other reasonable tasks as instructed by management.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial vehicles.
• A methodical, organised approach to problem-solving with a strong attention to detail.
• Up-to-date technical knowledge and, ideally, manufacturer training.
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
