Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements.
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection.
  • General servicing and MOT preparation.
  • Fault finding & diagnostics.
  • Updating all required paperwork / databases.

Overview

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter — Depot Location: York

Working Hours: Week 1 = 7:00–16:30; Week 2 = 11:00–20:30 (Saturday Morning 7:00–12:00, £26.77ph). Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role. Financial Package: £45,250 per annum. Benefits include ongoing training and development on new and emerging technology, a very strong pension scheme, medical insurance, retail / holiday discounts, and bike to work scheme.

Client: A well-established business in the HGV industry is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter on a rotating shift.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
  • General Servicing and MOT preparation
  • Fault finding & diagnostics
  • Updating all required paperwork / databases
Qualifications & Experience
  • Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
  • A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage but isn’t essential.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, maintenance and repair
