Overview

HGV Technician – Northampton. We're offering a great opportunity for skilled HGV Technicians who want consistent hours, competitive pay, and a positive, team-oriented work environment.



Responsibilities


  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers in line with VOSA standards

  • Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults

  • Ensure all work meets Health & Safety regulations

  • Attend roadside breakdowns or customer sites when required

  • Accurately complete job cards, service sheets, and clocking records

  • Liaise with the parts department to order and collect necessary parts

  • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organised

  • Stay updated with product knowledge and attend training when needed



Requirements


  • Full UK driving licence

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience

  • IRTEC accreditation (or willingness to obtain it)

  • HGV and/or PSV licence (preferred)

  • Previous experience in a commercial vehicle workshop environment
