Overview

HGV Technician – Location: Erith. Salary: £25.00 per hour plus bonus and overtime. Shifts: Sunday to Thursday 10:00-18:30. Ref: 28487.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client's workshop in Erith. The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles makes and models.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • Experience as a vehicle technician with a relevant and up-to-date qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 essential).
  • Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs.
  • HGV Class 1 driving licence is preferred.
  • Experience with tail lifts is desirable.
