A leading automotive services company is looking for an experienced HGV Technician in Elgin. The role involves performing inspections and repairs on HGV and LCV vehicles in a busy workshop environment. Ideal candidates will have strong diagnostic skills and experience in a similar role. Benefits

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role.
• Confident working on both HGV and LCV vehicles.

Overview

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic – Location: Elgin. Salary: £45,500 (£20ph). Hours: Early & Late Shift Rotation + Alternate Saturday 7 - 12 Mornings. Contract: Permanent.

We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and growing workshop in Elgin. With 7 bays, an ATF lane, and a team of 12 skilled technicians, you'll be part of a well-equipped and supportive environment that values quality work and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV and LCV vehicles
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
• Complete necessary paperwork and service records to a high standard
• Work within health and safety regulations and company standards
• Support and mentor less experienced technicians when required
• Liaise with parts and service teams to ensure timely vehicle turnaround
• Participate in early and late shift patterns and alternate Saturday mornings

About You / Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role
• Confident working on both HGV and LCV vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
