HGV Mechanic

Job Role: HGV Mechanic
Location: Grays
Hourly rate: £21.40 + Overtime paid at an increased rate
Hours: 6am-3:30pm week 1 & 12:30pm-10pm week 2
Days: Monday-Friday

My client is seeking a qualified HGV Mechanic to join their dealership in Waltham Cross and support the delivery of a high-quality, efficient vehicle service. The business is growing rapidly following several major contract wins.

Responsibilities

Working in a busy workshop, you'll handle all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls, along with routine servicing and diagnostics.

• Diagnosing faults
• Maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers
• Carrying out inspections and Pre-MOT checks
• Completing all documentation accurately

Requirements

• Recent experience in an HGV dealership or fleet workshop
• Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Well-organised with the ability to meet deadlines
