Job description
Overview

HGV Mechanic – Nights, Monday to Friday (Apply online only). Location: Heathrow. Salary: OTE £61,264.00 per annum (basic including Night Shift Pay £55,264.00). Overtime available – paid at 1½. Efficiency/productivity bonus up to £6,000 per annum on reaching targets (paid monthly).

Basic hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday night shift. Overtime usually available. Weekends and outside basic hours paid at overtime rate x 1.5. Overalls, uniform and PPE supplied and updated.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • You will need experience as a vehicle technician and a relevant up-to-date qualification.
  • You will be a person who takes great pride in your work.
  • You will have incredible attention to detail and an eye for spotting things others cannot.
  • You will need a full valid UK driving licence.
  • A stocked toolbox that you can use for work.
