Job Role : HGV Mechanic

Location : Cullompton

Pay : £46,800 - £53,820 basic

Hours : M-F 7am-5pm (45hrs)

Shift : Days

Contract : Full time permanent role paid weekly

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter to provide service, maintenance, and breakdown support for an internal fleet of commercial vehicles (trucks and trailers) and for third party customer vehicles. You will be based out of a new purpose built workshop in the Cullompton area.

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter Duties

Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles

Trouble shoot breakdowns

Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT tests

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and body system issues

Accurately record maintenance, repairs, and parts usage

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter Experience Required

Qualifications in vehicle maintenance or qualified by experience working on HGV’s

Strong technical and product knowledge

Excellent diagnostic and computer skills

Any knowledge / experience of refuse collection vehicles is desirable but not essential

HGV Licence desirable but not essential
