Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Marlow is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver. You will be responsible for driving, loading waste, and ensuring vehicle safety. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £16.46 and additional benefits, including 25 days of annual leave and ongoing training opportunities. Veolia HGV Class 2 Driver - Hiring Event

Salary: £16.46 per hour, plus Veolia benefits.

Hours: 45 hours per Week. Monday to Friday, 6.30 am - 16.30 pm, plus Saturday working for Bank Holiday catch-ups

Location: Booker Depot, Clay Lane, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, SL7 3DJ

Event Details: Friday 7th November 2025, 9:00am - 2:00pm

What you\'ll be doing

  • Driving to planned collection locations.
  • Loading recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.
  • Complete daily checks of the vehicle as required.
  • Use the onboard technology to complete work notes.
  • Comply with all traffic laws and legislation and ensure their work environment is safe and clean at all times.

What we\'re looking for

Essential

  • Class 2 Driving Licence
  • An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Local geographical knowledge is highly desirable, including experience of driving in the area.
  • Experience in transport of waste is desirable.

Please note we require candidates to bring all relevant documents with them to the hiring day; Right to Work (birth certificate, passport, I.D, settled status etc.) and all driving documents (UK Driving Licence, Class 2 Licence, CPC, Tacho Card etc.)

Please note, if you have more than 6 points against your licence you will not be suitable for this position.

On this day you may also be required to complete a driving assessment, on same day, so please ensure you are prepared/ have appropriate footwear for this.
