Job summary

A leading driving recruitment agency in the UK is looking for Class 2 HGV C Drivers for a temporary position in Barnsley. The role requires strong communication skills, geographic knowledge of the UK, and a valid Class 2 HGV driving licence. Drivers will be responsible for delivering palletised goods and maintaining vehicle standards. This position offers competitive pay of £16.05 to £17.87 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 HGV C driving licence.
• Must have a Digital tachograph card and Driver CPC card held for 2 years.
• No more than 6 current points on licence for separate 3pt offences.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of palletised goods across regional routes.
• Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle.
• Assist with unloading goods as required.

Freeway Recruitment are looking to register Class 2 Drivers for our client located in Barnsley.

Responsibilities

Our customer is in Barnsley and specialises in general haulage of palletised goods. Curtain side vehicles, with a mixture of forklift truck unloading as well as Palletised Pump Truck unloading. Regional multi drop – 10-15 drops/collections per day depending on route and delivery run. Drivers need to have a good level of fitness to allow for any potential hand ball of general haulage goods delivered.

Requirements

• Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practises and procedures at all time
• Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
• Hold a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to your wo
• Good command of English both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills
• Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
• Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
• Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our Client

Qualifications / training / experience

• Valid Class 2 HGV C driving licence + Valid Digital tachograph card + Valid Driver CPC card held for 2 Years or more.
• Have No more than 6 current points on licence for separate 3pt offences (No DR/DD/IN Driving offences accepted)
• 2 work check-able work references

Pay

£16.05ph Paye (Holidays accrued) or £17.87 ph (Holidays paid out)
