Job summary

A logistics company in Eastleigh is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for ongoing work with the potential for a full-time position. Responsibilities include bulk deliveries for Volkswagen, conducting vehicle checks, and handling physical deliveries. Candidates must hold a Full UK Cat C+E Licence and a CPC & Digi Card. Overview

HGV Class 1 Driver Wanted

Here at The Best Connection we are looking for Class 1 driver to join our client based in Eastleigh. This role is ongoing with the potential to be a full time job. New passes are welcome.

Salary - £20.00 per hour PAYE / £23.00 per hour PAYE UMBRELLA

Start Time - 23:00/23:30

Location - Eastleigh

Responsibilities

• Bulk deliveries and collections to specific lock up garages and sites used by Volkswagen for parts storage
• Starting between 23:00/23:30 working between 8-11 hours depending on number of deliveries & collections
• Drivers will be required to do vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Drivers will be provided with security codes to get into the lock ups for each location
• The work can be quite physical
• All deliveries are on roll cages

What is required

• Full UK Cat C+E Licence
• CPC & Digi Card Required
• Assessment to be completed before starting
• New pass Class 1 drivers are welcome
• Good communication to the client
• Good level of numeracy and literacy skills required
