Job summary

A leading logistics company based in the UK seeks a Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability, and compliance of the fleet of vehicles and trailers. This role involves performing service and maintenance tasks, preparing vehicles for MOT testing, and completing all required reports. Qualifications

  • Must have vocational training and licenses relevant to the role.
  • Previous experience within a similar role is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform service and maintenance on fleet vehicles.
  • Complete defect reports and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing.
  • Conduct ad-hoc repairs and investigate vehicle defects.

Skills

Fully skilled with applicable Licenses / Vocational Training
Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting
Experience with welding
Ability to lift Heavy Vehicle Components
Basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills
Valid driving license
Previous experience in a similar role

Education

City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent in commercial vehicle repairs
LGV C&E licence (class one)
