Health and Safety Manager

Location: South

Salary: GBP400 Per Day

This Health and Safety Manager position is with a Tier 1 Main Contractor, a market leader in the Commercial, Residential, Public, and Interiors sectors. They work on a diverse range of projects, including new build, fit-out, and refurbishment schemes, with values ranging from GBP5m to GBP100million.

The Role:

We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join the team for a commercial refurbishment project valued at GBP100M. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the company's safety and environmental performance, as well as that of subcontractors and employers, and producing SHE support reports for management.
  • Investigating hazardous practices or operations and providing guidance; exercising authority to cease work and stop subcontractors until remedial actions are taken.
  • Reviewing absence due to accidents or injuries and ensuring reportable incidents are notified to the relevant authorities.
  • Staying current with health and SHE legislation.
  • Assisting in maintaining the company's SHE Management System and related documentation.
  • Supporting Directors, Managers, Department Heads, and Supervisors in implementing the SHE Policy.

Experience in asbestos, demolition, scaffolding, and fit-out is essential. Ideal candidates will have experience in Commercial Banking & Retail fit-out projects.
