Overview

An exciting opportunity in UHD's Outpatients department at Poole to join a diverse and motivated team looking after children and adults in both clinical and surgical settings. Outpatients is a key part of the patient pathway, including first appointments, follow-ups, and minor surgical procedures. Our nursing team supports patients throughout the journey.

If you have excellent communication skills and care about supporting patients in a clinic or surgical setting, this is a brilliant opportunity within our friendly Outpatients team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing support within outpatient clinics and minor surgical procedures to assist patients through the journey from arrival to discharge.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
  • Support the patient journey in both clinical and surgical settings as part of the Outpatients team.
Qualifications and Recruitment Details
  • This post is being advertised as Band 3; applicants who do not meet the required care certificate competencies will initially be employed as Band 2. Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3.
  • As part of the interview process you will be asked to complete a numeracy and literacy assessment.
  • Base Location: Poole Hospital
