Job description
Role Overview

As a Healthcare Support Worker you will work within the MDT to facilitate the delivery of safe and effective sexual healthcare. This position provides a good opportunity for growth and development within Integrated Sexual Health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the multidisciplinary healthcare team with the delivery of safe and effective care within the Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.
  • Undertake clinical skills including asymptomatic STI screening, venepuncture, pregnancy testing, urinalysis, basic observations, calculating BMI and chaperoning during male and female examinations.
  • Support the smooth running of clinics by maintaining and monitoring adequate stock levels and participating in the preparation and clearance of clinical rooms/areas while maintaining infection prevention and control. Promote the wellbeing and safety of all patients and carers by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately, according to the standards determined by policy and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities

All posts working with vulnerable groups will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check upon appointment and staff will need to give consent for the Trust to receive regular updates on their criminal record status throughout their employment. After the closing date we strongly advise checking the registered email account.
