Salary: £24,937 - £26,598 per annum + an additional £7,000 High Secure Allowance.

Overview
We are looking for a compassionate, respectful, professional, and reliable Healthcare Assistant to support patients in one of the three High Secure Hospitals in the Country. This role involves delivering individual care plans and therapeutic activities, fostering positive relationships with patients, and maintaining a safe environment for all.
Responsibilities
- Develop therapeutic relationships with patients through engagement in meaningful activities.
- Assist with daily activities that support the physical and mental health of patients, including observing and talking with patients, supporting structured days, serving meals, and participating in planned therapy or activities.
- Provide escorting of patients for out‑of‑ground visits.
- Record, undertake, and report clinical observations as directed by registered staff.
- Act in a manner that promotes and safeguards the interests and wellbeing of patients, treating all with dignity and respect.
- Work as part of a team in a highly demanding environment, demonstrating resilience and good teamwork.
Qualifications
- No previous healthcare experience required; experience and understanding in caring for people with mental health, learning disability, or autism is preferred.
- Transferable skills and experience in care are acceptable.
- Ability to work in a 24/7, 365‑day environment with 13‑hour shifts during day or night.
- Willingness to work a share of weekends, nights, and bank holidays; continuous roster of 12 weeks in advance.
Working Hours & Flexibility
You will be required to work 150 hours over a 4‑week period. Part‑time work is available with shift flexibility and shared weekend, night, and bank holiday duties.
