A prominent healthcare organization is seeking a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join their Brent Community Nursing Twilight and Night Service. This role involves providing crucial care to patients in their own homes under the supervision of qualified professionals. Candidates with NVQ level 3 in health and social care and a valid UK driving license are preferred. We are looking for exceptional Band 3 Health Care Assistants who are looking to progress to Apprenticeship Nursing Associate or a qualified Band 4 Apprentice Nursing Associate to join us in our Brent Community Nursing Twilight and Night Service. The service is run from 4.00pm to midnight and from midnight to 8:30am including weekends and Bank Holidays. This is a fixed post position with the possibility of the post becoming permanent in Brent at the end of this contract.
You should hold NVQ level 3 in health and social care and have a minimum of 12 months acute or community experience. If you are a motivated team player and want to excel in delivering exceptional holistic healthcare to a diverse patient group in their own home, we want to hear from you.
Previous experience of working in the NHS is essential, community experience is desirable but training will be given. Car driving is required. As a Health Care assistant, you will be directly involved in facilitating and shaping self-care for patients with long term conditions in order to help keep them as well as possible in their own homes.

The Healthcare Assistant will provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of patients under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse or allied health professional. The HCA will work in a variety of settings including community centres, clinics and patient/carers own homes.
The post holder will be expected to become proficient and competent in their area of practice by undertaking competency assessments specific to the area of clinical practice.
The HCA will promote optimum independence and individualised client centred care to a delegated caseload.
The post holder will also support the Community Nursing Team to deliver against key performance indicators and maintain quality of the service.
Hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
