A healthcare provider in Carmarthen is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to deliver compassionate end-of-life care during night shifts. In this role, you will support patients and their families by assisting with personal care and symptom management while working within a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates should hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and have at least 6 months' experience in a similar environment. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required.

As a Healthcare Assistant, youll be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team delivering holistic, person-centred end of life care. Working under the guidance of registered professionals, youll support patients and those important to them with personal care, symptom management, and emotional support.
Youll contribute to care planning, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe and dignified environment. This is a compassionate and hands-on role where youll make a meaningful difference in peoples lives during their final stages, while also supporting their loved ones through grief and bereavement.
The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £24,833 pro rata per annum + enhancements
Contract: Permanent. part-time, night shifts- 18 hours/week
Based: Community Based Carmarthenshire
