Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Healthcare Assistant to work as part of a 2 : 1 care package alongside a nurse, supporting a client with complex clinical needs. This is a daytime package offering flexible shift patterns for the right candidate.

Client’s Clinical Needs

• Epilepsy
• Diabetes
• Tracheostomy
• PEG / MIC-KEY gastrostomy feeding
• Bowel care
• Vital signs monitoring

Equipment in Use

• Ambu bag
• Oxygen cylinder
• Suction machine
• Airvo
• Cough Assist
• Saturation monitoring machine
• MIC-KEY gastrostomy feeding tube
• Insulin pump

Key Responsibilities

• Tracheostomy care
• PEG feeding and management
• Monitoring vital signs
• Supporting diabetes management
• Working collaboratively within a 2 : 1 nurse-led package

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in complex care
• Tracheostomy care experience
• PEG feeding experience
• Diabetes care experience
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
