Job description
Overview

In addition, we have an in-house Practice Based Educator to support your learning and training needs. All healthcare assistants will be required to complete the Christie Care Certificate as part of their continuous professional development.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Care of the surgical patient, supporting patient positioning, preparing surgical sets and consumables for use.
  • Use of computer systems, working as part of the theatre transfer team which includes collection and return of patients to the ward and collection of blood products.
  • Maintaining a high standard of infection control procedures in the department.
  • Moving and handling of bulky and heavy instrument trays and trolleys, transferring of patients and standing for potentially long periods of time.
Working hours

You will be required to work 37.5 hours Monday to Saturday, some evening shifts and on call duties are required within this post.
