Working under the direct supervision of the Nurse Site Lead and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. You will support the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues and manage their own and others health and safety and infection control as defined in the practice Health & Safety Policy, the practice Health & Safety Manual, and the practice Infection Control Policy and published procedures.
Venepuncture, ECG, BP Taking, Suture and Clip Removal, Wound, Dressings, Injections, Phlebotomy, Chaperoning Duties, Stock Ordering. To undertake patient Home Visits. To process and manage laboratory samples requested by GP/Nurses. To maintain surgical equipment. To prepare and maintain environments & equipment. Other tasks delegated by the Nurse Site Lead.
Riverside Brigg is a purpose built practice in the centreof Brigg. The branch surgeries are located in Broughton, Crowle, Keadby and Skippingdale. Five GP partnerscare for nearly 24,000 patients; we are a Training Practice, host medicalstudents and nurses and also offer work placements. We are a dispensingpractice with a pharmacy in Brigg and Broughton and a dispensary at Crowle and Keadby. Thepartners have specialist interests in Cardiology, Dermatology, Diabetes, MinorSurgery and Respiratory. The Urgent Care Team manages on the day demand offering emergencyappointments and telephone advice. The practice nursing team manage long term conditions. The PracticePharmacist's manage prescribing and medicines optimisation. The clinical teamis supported by a multi-professional administration team.

Toassisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
Toundertake specific clinical activities for named patients that have beendelegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
Tohelp raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
Toassist with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health andwell-being
Toassist in clinics such as coil and Implanon insertion and removal
To assist in preparation for yearly calibrationof practice equipment
Tocomplete patient notes and tasks on clinical system relative to job role
Other tasks delegated by the Nurse Site Lead
Toclear and re-stock consulting rooms
