Driving Carer - Full-Time (Days) – Driving Carer

Location: Birmingham
Setting: Residential Home - Learning Disabilities / Autism / Challenging Behaviour
Hours: 36 hours per week (Day shifts only)
Rate: £12.00 - £13.00 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Driving Carer to join a specialist residential service in Birmingham supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours. This is a full-time role, working day shifts, and requires someone confident in managing behaviours that challenge in a calm and professional manner. A full UK driving licence is essential, as part of the role includes driving residents to appointments, activities, and outings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care
  • Support individuals with challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies
  • Assist with personal care, medication, and daily living tasks
  • Drive service users to appointments and community-based activities
  • Maintain clear and accurate daily records and care documentation
Requirements
