Job summary

Overview

As a Band 3 Nursing Assistant, you will work alongside doctors and nurses to help prepare patients for surgery and support the smooth running of the Day Surgery Unit and Theatre Direct Admission departments at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming patient environment by ensuring cleanliness and tidiness
  • Conduct regular audits and manage restocking and ordering of supplies
  • Assist doctors and nurses in delivering high‑quality care for patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical procedures
  • Support day surgery operations in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
  • Work flexibly with shifts typically Monday to Saturday; full-time 37.5 hours per week; shifts arranged to meet service needs
  • Receive comprehensive training and support; previous day surgery experience is desirable but not essential

Requirements
