Job description

Overview

Health & Safety Officer is needed at a Roman Catholic Sixth Form College in South West London.

This is a part-time, long-term role (21 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement policies to maintain a safe learning environment and meet health & safety requirements.
• Oversee UK GDPR compliance and data protection regulations, safeguarding data privacy at the college.
• Support sustainability initiatives and policy oversight within the college.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure safe systems of work and effective risk management.

• UK Bachelor’s Degree or overseas equivalent
• Experience as an administrator or Health & Safety Officer in UK schools/sixth forms/colleges

The best applicants will have experience in a similar role within post-16 education; however, it is not essential for consideration.

Salary: between £110 and £220 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The College

A Roman Catholic Sixth Form College for pupils aged 16 to 19, located in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The college was established in 1985 and offers A Level, Diploma, IB and Adult Education courses. There is an excellent pastoral care system with Personal Tutors for each student, along with subject teachers. The site also has a Chapel and Prayer room.
