Job summary

A leading high-end residential contractor is seeking an exceptional Health & Safety Manager to lead their safety strategy and operational compliance across multiple prestigious projects in Central London. You'll have the authority to embed a proactive safety culture and ensure the business remains compliant with ISO 45001 and other regulations. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in HSE management within construction, a strong understanding of risk assessments, and a proactive approach to safety training.

A leading high-end residential contractor established in 1997 is seeking an exceptional Health & Safety Manager to lead their safety strategy and operational compliance across multiple concurrent projects in Kensington, Mayfair, Notting Hill and other prestigious Central London locations. Their projects range up to £20 million in value, with approximately 6-8 live sites at any one time.

This is a pivotal role where you'll have the authority and backing to embed a proactive safety culture, align operations with ISO 45001, and ensure the business remains at the forefront of regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain an ISO 45001-aligned HSE Management System.
  • Lead site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and statutory obligations.
  • Champion behavioural safety and deliver workforce training initiatives.
  • Provide strategic HSE input during pre-construction planning and contractor selection.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
  • Act as the principal HSE contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulators.
  • Maintain HSE performance dashboards and report insights to the leadership team.
  • Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management and sustainability measures.
