Job description

Salary : £32,000

Shift Pattern : Monday to Friday

Location : Nuneaton, Distribution Centre.

Essential skills required :

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential).
• IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
• Proven experience in health & safety and facilities management within a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Ability to influence and engage staff at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits across warehouse operations.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Deliver health and safety training and inductions for all staff and contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training.
• Liaise with external bodies (., HSE, fire services) as required.

Facilities Management

• Oversee the maintenance and servicing of warehouse infrastructure, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers and contractors.
• Ensure the site is clean, secure, and operationally efficient.
• Monitor and manage energy usage and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate building repairs, refurbishments, and improvement projects.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Prepare and present reports on safety performance, facility status, and improvement plans.
• Support internal and external audits and inspections.
