Job summary

A leading staffing agency in the UK is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for a remote position with some travel. The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while supporting the delivery of construction-related activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of UK legislation, experience in high-risk environments, and NEBOSH certification. This six-month contract positions you at the forefront of safety management on critical projects, promoting a positive safety culture and overseeing training requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience in conducting and reviewing RAMS.
• Familiar with high-risk environments such as COMAH Terminals.
• Competence in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for safety messaging.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Conduct site inspections and audits.
• Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Promote a positive safety culture among teams.

Skills

Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation

Experience conducting and reviewing RAMS and safe systems of work

Familiarity with working in high-risk environments

Competent in incident investigation and root cause analysis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
