A local GP practice in Folkestone is seeking a motivated Health Care Assistant to join their supportive team. The role involves working with GPs and nurses to deliver patient-centered care, including monitoring vital signs, supporting chronic disease management, and maintaining clinical records. New Lyminge Surgery is seeking a friendly, motivated Health Care Assistant to join our supportive primary care team. The post holder will work alongside GPs and the nursing team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to our practice population.
The Health Care Assistant will work under the supervision of the nursing team and GPs to provide routine clinical care, including:
Blood pressure monitoring and recording observations
ECGs
NHS Health Checks
Wound care and dressings
Supporting chronic disease management clinics
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records
Adhering to infection control, health & safety, and practice policies
Preparing and maintaining clinical rooms and equipment
Providing a professional, caring service to patients at all times

The Health Care Assistant will support the clinical team in the delivery of essential patient care services. The role requires good communication skills, a caring approach, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
