As a Health Business Centre Advisor for our School Nursing service, you’ll be part of a friendly, purpose‑driven team that provides a seamless first point of contact, accurate record‑keeping and timely support that enables clinicians to deliver the Healthy Child Programme. Your role and responsibilities
  • Be a key member of the countywide HBC, our central coordination point for School Nursing administration and a single point of contact for children, young people, families and partner agencies.
  • Provide a professional telephone and email service between 08:00 and 17:00 (Monday–Friday), with flexibility to support early starts or later finishes within your working pattern.
  • Register and process new children and referrals on clinical systems (including SystmOne), ensuring timely, accurate data to meet service KPIs.
  • Support School Nursing activities such as processing referrals for support, coordinating the National Child Measurement Programme,他NCMP, managing updates on children’s medical conditions in schools, and liaising with schools and clinicians.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by following best practice, maintaining quality records and sharing ideas that enhance processes and customer experience.
You will need
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent experience) and a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven accuracy in data entry; strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and the confidence to learn new systems).
  • Clear, confident communication skills and a calm, customer‑focused approach.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise in a busy, pressurised environment, meeting targets while working collaboratively across teams.
  • Understanding of kür confidentiality and data protection.

You’ll join the Health Business Centre within our 0-19 Healthy Child Service‑supporting delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and生活 working closely with School Nursing and///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// partner services to ensure timely, equitable access to support across Suffolk. We operate 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, in shift patterns, and live our WE ASPIRE values through teamwork, a solution‑focused approach and positive working relationships. Flexible working options include job share, compressed hours, flexitime/TOIL, hybrid working and adjusted core hours.
