Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £30,000-£33,000 per year

Location: Bristol

We are looking for a skilled Health and Social Trainer to join Catalyst Care Group in Bristol. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the skills, knowledge, and confidence of our colleagues and clinicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across all services.

About the Role

As a Health and Social Trainer, you will develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs that meet both staff and regulatory needs. You’ll create e-learning modules, maintain accurate training records, and work closely with departments to identify skill gaps and training priorities. You’ll cover essential topics such as medication management, epilepsy awareness, positive behaviour support, manual handling, and basic life support, supporting professional development and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver tailored training for colleagues and clinicians
  • Develop e-learning modules and maintain accurate training records
  • Assess competencies and support professional development
  • Identify training needs and address skill gaps across teams
  • Report training outcomes to leadership and contribute to service improvement
  • Stay up to date with best practices and developments in health and social care
About You
  • Minimum Level 3 AET (Award in Education and Training) and experience delivering health and social care training
  • Level 3 Assessor qualification, or willingness to work towards it, along with Care Certificate knowledge or readiness to obtain it
  • Experience delivering and assessing Care Certificate programs
  • Valid Train the Trainer certification in core subjects is advantageous
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, or learning disabilities is a plus
