The successful candidate will lead the safety strategy for a new office, ensuring compliance and embedding a high-performing safety culture. This role requires significant experience in civil engineering safety and a NEBOSH Diploma. It's an opportunity to shape safety standards from the start.

As part of this growth, our client is establishing a brand–new office in Hexham, and we are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take a pivotal leadership role in shaping the culture, standards, and systems from day one.

The Opportunity

  • Lead HSEQ strategy for the new regional office
  • Embed best–practice safety culture across multiple civil engineering frameworks
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to project teams and site leadership
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements, and internal standards
  • Drive continuous improvement and champion behavioural safety
  • Influence organisational direction as the region grows
About You

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • Significant experience in Health & Safety within civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) with strong technical HSEQ knowledge
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to influence at all levels
  • Experience developing or leading safety strategy across multiple projects
  • The ambition to help shape a new regional hub and build a high–performing safety culture from the ground up
