Overview

Head Teacher - Alternative Provision, Burnley, Lancashire. We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive our unique alternative provision. This is a temporary-to-permanent role with start in October 2025 or sooner.

This is a temporary-to-permanent role offering stability and autonomy to lead from the front. The successful candidate will shape the future of the school and its community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the school's vision, ensuring high-quality, alternative education that meets the needs of every student.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day running of the school, including curriculum development, staff management, and budget control.
  • Safeguarding: Champion a culture of safety and well-being, ensuring all statutory and contractual obligations are met.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong, positive relationships with parents, external agencies, and the wider Burnley community.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor, evaluate, and report on the school's performance, driving continuous improvement in student attainment and staff professionalism.
