A local veterinary clinic in Scarborough is seeking a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to take on the role of Head RVN. You will lead a dedicated team, optimize workflow, and nurture the development of fellow nurses. The ideal candidate will have solid general nursing experience, exceptional customer service skills, and a commitment to animal welfare. This full-time position, working 40 hours per week, offers a competitive salary of up to £35,000 and a supportive environment that emphasizes well-being and professional growth.
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small, friendly small animal practice in Scarborough as our Head RVN.
You will become part of a close-knit and supportive team, working alongside 0 veterinary surgeons, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurses (including our fantastic student nurses), and an exceptional client care team. Together, we are committed to delivering outstanding patient care using low-stress handling techniques.
In this leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the clinical team, stepping in where required and acting as a positive role model in all aspects of nursing. You will use your strong organisational and managerial skills to optimise workflow and ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
A key part of the role will be nurturing and developing the skills of our RVNs, supporting their individual surgical and medical interests, and contributing to the training and development of the wider nursing and VCA team. You will also be involved in appraisals and clinical audits, requiring the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead by example.

This is a Full-Time role working 40 hour per week and shift patterns can be discussed at interview but to include a 1 in 3 saturday
