Overview

Head of Sales

Location: Scotland-based in Inverness, with requirement to be in the Inverness office at least twice a week.

Are you a dynamic, results-driven sales leader ready to make a real impact in Scotland's broadband market? Highland Broadband is on a mission to deliver fast, reliable, and affordable connectivity to communities across the Highlands and beyond. We are growing fast and are looking for a Head of Sales to lead our sales strategy, inspire our teams, and drive revenue growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading both our in-house telesales function and outsourced field sales teams. This is a hands-on leadership role where you\'ll set the pace, coach and motivate teams, and ensure sales performance exceeds targets. You\'ll also play a vital role in shaping the evolution of our sales strategy, ensuring our customers\' voices are at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and motivate telesales and outsourced field sales teams to deliver exceptional performance

  • Monitor performance daily, using data and insights to optimise sales output
  • Ensure sales teams are equipped to identify opportunities, build strong customer pipelines and deliver promotional campaigns
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and operations to align sales with business objectives
  • Manage and enhance customer feedback loops to strengthen customer experience and inform messaging
  • Evolve sales strategies to maximise results across different customer segments
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a commercially astute, motivational leader with:

  • Proven experience leading telesales and field sales teams, ideally in broadband or telecoms
  • A strong track record of exceeding sales and revenue targets
  • Experience managing outsourced sales functions to strict performance standards
  • Excellent coaching, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to turn insights into action
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the broadband sector
  • Understanding of the Scottish market, especially rural communities
  • Experience embedding positive company culture in sales teams
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales Management or equivalent experience
  • Formal sales training and/or leadership certification desirable
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
