Head of Operations Large Format Print

Basildon, Essex

We're working with a long-established and forward-thinking large format print manufacturer who are seeking an experienced Head of Production Operations to take the reins of their busy print facility.

This is a newly created position within the business following an internal restructure designed to strengthen operational efficiency and bring clear direction across production and supporting departments.

The Role

You’ll lead day-to-day production and logistics operations, overseeing multiple shifts and a sizeable team responsible for delivering high-quality large format graphics and display work. With a strong focus on workflow, process and structure, this role will suit someone who thrives on bringing organisation and calm to a fast-paced, high-output environment. You’ll act as the operational bridge between production and the wider business, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of large format print production, finishing and logistics operations
• Drive efficiency through improved workflow, scheduling and resource management
• Lead and develop department managers and shift leads across day and night teams
• Maintain high quality standards while meeting demanding client deadlines
• Champion Health & Safety and promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Use production data and workflow systems to track performance and deliver measurable results
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and project delivery
