Job summary

A growing biotechnology firm near Manchester is looking for a Head of Research to lead oncology projects from final GLP tox through to first-in-human trials. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or relevant degree and significant experience in managing Phase I/II trials. Responsibilities include project leadership, agency correspondence, and protocol support. A competitive salary between £70,000 and £100,000 is offered for this permanent role, requiring the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in oncology, liposomes, or gene therapy.
• Successful Project Manager with experience in Phase I / II trials.
• Knowledge of CTA or IND submission and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Drive oncology programme from GLP tox to first-in-human Phase I trial.
• Compile and submit CTA / IND, manage agency correspondence.
• Support protocol development and site selection.
