A prominent banking firm is seeking a Head of Function to lead motor finance rectification efforts in Newport. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in retail banking or consumer credit, alongside strong complaint handling skills and knowledge of regulatory frameworks. The FCA is expected to consult on a motor finance redress scheme in October 2025 with the aim of providing clarity to consumers by 2026. As we stand up our response to this industry wide programme, we're looking for a Head of Function to lead the oversight of this work. You'll bring substantial experience in retail banking or consumer credit, with deep expertise in complaint handling and redress schemes. You'll be innovative and transformational, collaborating with business leaders to identify new opportunities that better serve our customers. You will provide thought leadership, insight and oversight that supports the implementation of the second line of defence, ensuring good outcomes for customers.

The Risk team at Lloyds operates from 6 hub sites, Newport (moving to Cardiff in 2026), Bristol, London, Birmingham, Leeds and Edinburgh. The primary locations for this role are Newport and Bristol, but we are open to applications for any of our hub sites.
