Overview

This role is core to our strategy, aimed at developing and delivering customer-focused communications consistent with the Boots brand purpose, that drive growth and brand health.

This is a leadership role for someone ready to build, grow and deliver real change. As a key member of the Business Unit leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the Marketing plan for your area, in support of the Beauty strategy. On top of this, the role also plays a key leadership position in the Marketing function, driving best practice and new ideas across the total function.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be accountable for the planning and delivery of all communications to customers to support the relevant category. Including the delivery of fully integrated marketing communication plans
  • In planning and delivering a communication plan, you will need to ensure the needs of all key stakeholders are aligned and met, which aligning to the category vision, leading cross functional teams across Business Units, Loyalty, In-store, Digital, Social PR and Content.
  • You will guide and oversee creative development across all channels, ensuring you align to the commercial requirements as well as brand purpose
  • Owning and leading the customer proposition experience from strategic development to execution is critical, but you will also be able to translate this, with our squad team and key stakeholders, into a communication / campaign calendar
  • Lead live trading periods, responding to marketing conditions to maximise results and KPI performance
  • To stay ahead of the market, you will need to be aware of our competitors and the industry, so market analysis is critical
  • While internal partners are critical to success, you will also be working with external agency partners to deliver results
  • You will work closely with suppliers to develop innovative marketing ideas which excite customers and grow the market
  • Lead the thinking on customer marketing plan, delivered against our customer strategy and brand ambition
  • To do all the above, you will be leading a team of talented marketers, so inspiring and leading is critical to the success of this role
What you’ll need to have
  • Relevant Marketing experience on developing, leading and delivering in large campaigns
  • Ability to demonstrate supporting the development of relevant category/seasonal strategies providing customer, market and marketing insights.
  • Experience of working with, and ideally leading, cross functional team to design and deliver compelling marketing campaigns and communications
  • Experience of development and production of integrated communications working hand in hand with media and loyalty teams
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of budget management up to significant spend level.
  • Examples of team and agency leadership, inspiring people to deliver best in class marketing through improving their knowledge skill and behaviours
