A leading conservation charity in Swindon seeks a Head of Food Sourcing to guide their diverse supply chain from artisanal products to national wholesalers. This role involves leading a team focused on efficiencies and sustainable sourcing practices. Candidates should have strong financial acumen, procurement knowledge, and negotiation skills. We have exciting and ambitious plans for our future. We’re aiming to more than double the size of our food and beverage business by 2025 by investing in the development of our people, creating new food offers that appeal to our 26 million visitors each year and improving the environments we serve food in. To get there, we’re growing our central food and beverage team, focusing on product development and procurement, but also investing in areas such as marketing, operating standards and environmental practice.
Please note this role is based in our Head Office in Swindon and appointed candidates will need to base themselves from here 2/3 days per week.
As our Head ofFood Sourcingyou will be accountable for setting the direction of our varied supply chain from artisan to national wholesalers and everything in between. Leading and developing a team of sourcing managers and supply chain experts you’ll look for efficiencies and opportunities to improve. Developing a strategy that ensures that fully integrates and supports sustainable sourcing and land management practices.
