Head of Fire Safety – 6 Month Contract starting January 2026

Location: Nottingham, East Midlands

Contract duration: 6 months (January 2026 to July 2026)

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Fire Safety Team to ensure regulatory compliance, high performance and customer satisfaction
  • Acting as the Responsible Person for fire safety, managing risk and representing regulators and industry bodies
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing fire safety policies, procedures and processes in line with legislation
  • Overseeing compliance, maintenance and servicing programmes and accurate record keeping
  • Managing fire safety budgets and contracts to ensure value for money and financial compliance
  • Leading procurement activities and support commercial decisions on contracts and out of scope works
  • Providing regular compliance reporting and strategic input to senior leadership and the Executive Team
  • Managing staff performance, complaints and emergency incidents and deputise for the Assistant Director of Compliance when required
