Overview

Job Introduction

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance Shared Services to lead the development and delivery of a high-quality, standardised service model across the Group. This role is central to our finance change agenda and will be responsible for overseeing core transactional processes, driving operational efficiency, ensuring robust financial controls and overseeing the expansion in scope of our shared services offerings. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of our shared services function and supporting the Group's continued growth and evolution.

Main Responsibilities

You will lead the Finance Shared Service Centre, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of core transactional processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Group Financial Systems (GFS). You\'ll ensure that the teams maintain rigorous financial controls, and oversee the implementation of a ticketing system to monitor and resolve finance queries. A key part of your role will be driving continuous improvement across our global standardised processes, delivering measurable year-on-year efficiencies, and expanding the taxonomy of processes, services and skills provided by the shared service centre. You will also support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and play a central role in delivering major Group projects including the deployment of a new global payroll platform. the adoption of standard processes as part of the global rollout of our ERP system, and increasing the scope of GFS to include full finance systems maintenance.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in leading finance shared services or large-scale finance operations teams, with a strong understanding of transactional finance processes and systems. They will demonstrate a successful track record in driving process improvements, automation, and delivering measurable efficiencies and service level improvements. A deep knowledge of financial controls, and risk management is essential, along with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organisation. Experience in managing change and integrating finance operations during corporate restructuring is highly desirable. The candidate should also bring a proactive, data-driven mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. Familiarity with finance systems maintenance and global finance platforms (such as IFS) will be an advantage.
