Salary: £67,083 - £73,442 per annum (£73,443 - £87,483 Gateway Range)

Location: Maidenhead / Hybrid

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) is seeking an experienced and inspiring finance leader to take on the pivotal role of Head of Finance Business Partnering. This is your opportunity to influence strategic decision-making at the heart of a forward-thinking local authority—helping to deliver excellent public services to one of the UK’s most distinctive communities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on all aspects of the Council’s budget setting and management accounting, driving insight and accountability across the organisation.
  • Guide and develop a talented team of finance professionals and CIPFA trainees, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders and elected members, providing clear, strategic financial insight to support evidence-based decisions.
  • Play a key role in maintaining and developing the Medium-Term Financial Strategy, ensuring sustainability and value for money across all services.
Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for a CCAB-qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, ICAEW, or CIMA) with proven experience in leading finance teams and partnering with senior stakeholders. You’ll combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a passion for public sector excellence.
