Job description
Head of Finance / Accountant

Salary: £39,862 to £44,075 (full time equivalent) | JE Grade G points 29 to 33 | Hourly rate £20.66 to £22.85 | Hours: 25 hours per week | Weeks: Flexible for the right candidate, between 42 and 52 weeks per year (to be discussed in interview)

We are looking for an experienced, flexible, accurate and pro‑active person to manage our school finances. The successful candidate will work as part of a wider finance team, co‑ordinate all aspects of this important role within the school, and act as our CFO.

Responsibilities
  • Forecasting and setting budgets.
  • Processing payments.
  • Liaising with auditors.
  • Coordinating finance operations and acting as CFO responsibilities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Secure in the use of financial systems.
  • Confident communication with all stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a school or finance environment, or appropriate qualification.
